So far, I’m still out and about, as many are. But more shops and restaurants have closed. ALL schools in city of Shanghai (pop. 25 million) closed as of Saturday.

Seems government is focusing on sweeping testing through neighborhoods rather than large-scale lockdowns (although Jilin province in northeast China and city of Shenzhen in south are exceptions).

There’s also some newfangled 3rd health code we need to show now to get in some places, such as the mall next door, and so far us foreign folks are having trouble obtaining it.
