“Beware of Ravening Wolves”

Reason IV why Trump must absolutely be stopped:
He is a false prophet who demeans people of faith, provoking hatred and violence against them.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”—Matthew 7:15

Trump & his closest advisers have:

—Used anti-Semitic imagery and language, such as Trump himself saying Jews are “disloyal” to the United States and “brutal killers.”

—Denigrated fellow People of the Book, the Hebrew Bible-Old Testament…inflaming hatred against Muslims.

—Invited anti-Jewish evangelical Christian pastors Robert Jeffress & John Hagee to the White House for a Hanukkah party. These particular pastors have said things like the following: “Jeffress has literally damned Jews to hell.”

Hagee has “described Hitler as a ‘hunter’ sent by God to kill Jews who refused to move to Israel and described the Antichrist as a ‘half-Jew homosexual.’” [Washington Post, 12/17/19]

—“Upon taking office, Trump has surrounded himself with anti-Muslim bigots. Sebastian Gorka, a former Trump adviser, was fired by the FBI for his Islamophobia. Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national-security-adviser-turned-felon said Islam is ‘like a cancer.’” [Washington Post, 3/15/19]

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo & Trump himself have further stoked hatred against Muslims, wanting to ban even Muslim children from war torn countries from seeking refuge in our country.

—Trump consistently nods, winks and flirts with far right groups and white supremacists who promote hatred and even violence against “the other.” White supremacist-far right violence is now THE leading cause of all domestic terrorism in the USA.

This has happened and been emboldened more than ever in this century on Trump’s watch.

The list of hate goes on and on…
Is this what Christians and people of faith support?

Emphatically, I say “NO.” You cannot promote hate for years on end, then try buying our vote with a Supreme Court Justice in the final 38 days before an election.

“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”—Matthew 7:18
